Spring forage & Nettle pasta

Today we went foraging for Nettles!

Now is the perfect time to include them in your daily diet. They have a much higher iron & calcium content than spinach and can be used in the same way. Just add them to your dinners or infuse them to drink as tea.

They're actually the most nutritious plant around. Rich in minerals; Iron, Protein, Calcium, Potassium, Magnesium, Zinc and vitamins A, C, D, K, B~complex. The high iron content makes them great for treating low haemoglobin levels & iron deficiency anaemia.

They are a great anti-inflammatory, making them useful in treating arthritis, and their antihistamine effect makes them great for treating allergy based conditions like eczema and relieving seasonal allergies.

Getting little ones involved in food prep is a great way to get all those digestive enzymes stimulated, to break down the food they are about to consume.
